GARDEN CITY
GARDEN CITY, IDAHO – This small town of just over 12,000 is nestled along the Boise River and surrounded by Boise on three sides and Eagle, Idaho on the west, but retains a separate municipal government. Most people don’t even recognize when they’re crossing from one city to another. But where Garden City is small in geography, it is vast in culture and entertainment.
Garden City is the hippest up-and-coming city in the Treasure Valley. Thanks to some great visionaries, this once looked-over city is now making a big splash for arts, culture, outdoor recreation, and entertainment.
LIVE, WORK, CREATE
The Surel Mitchell Live-Work-Create District attracts artists of every kind to Garden City, growing tremendously over the past few years. At the First Friday Art Walk, participants can come and go at their leisure at each art shop and meet in the country.
CRAFT BREWERIES AND WINERIES
There are more breweries, wineries, and cideries per square mile in Garden City than anywhere else in the entire state of Idaho! Grab a scooter and make a day touring the urban wineries or enjoy a delicious hand-crafted IPA from one of the many local breweries. Download the Garden City Artisans Pathway Map and experience all that Garden City offers.
FAMILY FUN
Garden City is also home to the Western Idaho Fair, the largest fair in Idaho! Families from around the state look forward to the time-honored fair events, big-name concerts, and adrenaline- pumping carnival rides each August. In addition to the fair, there is a climbing gym, nature walk along the Greenbelt or Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve, and several riverside parks to stop and enjoy.
Sports fans love watching The Boise Hawks baseball team. It’s a great family friendly event or date night. The stadium features fireworks throughout the summer on special nights. You’ll also enjoy the designated kids zone and 21+ area to accommodate everyone!
